Kentucky Power recently announced new incentives to help customers make energy savings upgrades. The incentives differ based on residential or commercial accounts. In this quick blog, we share a few highlights of the program.
Homeowners
Kentucky Power’s EnergyAdvantage at Home program provides a free visit from an Energy Advisor who will install energy saving measures at no cost to you, and provide a free Home Energy Assessment report. Some upgrades come with rebate incentives, like up to $230 for attic insulation or $50 for a smart thermostat, as well as incentives for HVAC improvements, heat pump water heaters, and more. Homeowners must have electric heating to qualify.
The advisor can also complete the Health & Safety testing for issues like mold, water infiltration, gas leaks, etc. while at your home.

Businesses or Organizations:
Kentucky Power’s Commercial Energy Solutions program offers cash incentives for energy-efficient lighting upgrades and controls that reduce usage. For example, there are rebates of $15-30 for installing occupancy sensors that automate lighting. It is also important to note that HVAC incentives are coming January 2026. The rebate cap per meter is $25,000 each year.
