Rock Adventure
Have a teenager that wants to climb or enjoys a challenge? The ATA Rock Camp is a perfect experience for the teen wanting an experience in the wilderness that is unique, fun and challenging. ATA instructors will guide your teen on an adventure that will develop skills and promote self confidence by using a progression of skill development that leads to appropriate challenges and greater rewards.
Activities
Teens will get to know each other on the first day of the camp with some fun games. But right away they will learn how to set up camp, rules and basic wilderness skills. Each morning the group will head out for a day of scrambling, climbing, and rappelling on the rock. In the afternoon, we will spend the time relaxing by the swimming holes, learning or refining skills, cooking food and finally sitting around the campfire recapping the day.
Logistics
All camping equipment is provided except sleeping bag, sleeping pad and daypack. ATA will provide all climbing gear, cooking equipment, food etc… Rental of sleeping bags, pads and pack can be arranged.
