North Carolina is blessed with a fantastic diversity of outdoor activities. We have rivers to fish and boat, trails to ride, run or hike, and wonderful rock to climb. Most people who live around here have a deep appreciation for the mountains and people who live here. During the summer months there is an influx of people visiting the area and unfortunately at times leave unnecessary trash behind. As a resident of Brevard, I feel that giving back to the people and the environment.
At this time, I have seen a significant amount of trash being left behind around the Davidson River. This area sees the greatest impact from fishermen, tubers and explorers. AMI is organizing a cleanup day to reduce the amount of trash found along the river. If you want to join us please show up on the cleanup day.
