Crack Climbing Course
- Leading traditional Crack climb in Kentucky
This three day course is for those who want to learn the complete skills need to have a great outdoor adventure climbing traditional rock climbs. Traditional rock climbs follow cracks and the Red River Gorge is a great place to learn how to climb cracks of all sizes. This course will teach the correct jamming techniques to make hanging on easier, but also the subtle body mechanics of crack climbing. You will learn about how to place protection, jamming techniques for fingers, hands, fists and off width cracks, and strategies to help you succeed.
Logistics
This course will run in the Red River Gorge, home to many quality crack climbs of all sizes and grades. This course is designed to work with you climbing ability and expand your ability to climb cracks. The ratio of the class will be low 3:1 so you’ll get quality instruction. You learning will be enhanced by a progression for learning and video feedback on your climbing. Come out and enjoy a day out climbing, instruction and in the evening watch videos and the famous Miguel pizza for dinner.
