Intermediate Rock Climbing Course

The Intermediate Rock Climbing Course is a two day class designed to prepare you for following pitches, moving more efficiently, and be more competent with ropes rescue skills. You will benefit from an enhanced efficiency when climbing, be able clean sport or tradition route and be a solid climbing partner. You will learn advance belaying techniques, how to clean gear and rack on your harness, advance climbing movement skills, transitions at belays, and how to rappel ropes to descend. This course is designed for someone who has climbed either indoors or outdoors in a top roping setting and would like to become a more advanced climber. The course will prepare you to follow single and multipitch routes. If you have not climbed before, please see the Rock Intro Class.

Open enrollment course $235 per person minimum of three people.

Equipment
AMI will provide you with all necessary climbing equipment. However, if you own your own, please feel free to bring it. It is recommended that you have a harness, climbing shoes, belay device and a helmet. Other equipment will include 5mm prussic, 4′ sling, 3 locking carabiners, grigri or cinch and ATC guide or Reverso.
