Danny McCracken
Climbing with Danny is going to be a fun day. He is an excellent instructor, professional and is enjoyable to hang out with. But beyond his climbing, you will gain a great appreciation for Danny’s friendly nature and desire to work with others. He is quick to help others and enjoys a good laugh. Danny loves teaching climbing skills just about so much as going climbing. His greatest joy in climbing is to hear someone say “I never thought I would be able to do that” after learning a new skill.
Danny got a late start in climbing when he started at the age of 38. In the last 12 years ago he has gone from learning to climb in a gym to doing rock, ice, and alpine climbing across the U.S. and in Europe. He has made an ascent of the Grand Teton in Wyoming. Danny’s favorite rock climbing is the trad climbing in North Carolina. He also goes north to ice climb in New Hampshire if the ice is not happening in NC.
