Adventure for Kids

Girls and Boys Club outing
The Adventure for Kids program is the community outreach program of Appalachian Mountain Institute. The goal is to give kids in WNC the opportunity to go climbing with the purpose of personal growth, stewardship and personal change. It will serve the underprivileged youth by working with other organizations to take kids climbing. The goal is to develop character, leadership, and stewardship of our community. AMI makes this happen through partnerships with other organizations that are working with kids.

Appalachian Mountain Institute has served over 70 kids in and around Brevard and Asheville, North Carolina. This take a great deal of time and resource to make this happen. I personally want to thank all of those who have helped out by donating their time or resources.

Mission
Our mission is to enable organizations working with youth to provide outdoor adventures that focus on individual transformational change. AMI focuses on partnering with youth organizations mindful of the connection between wilderness and personal change in such a way as to enhance the wilderness experience.
Donation
AMI is donating resources to make this happen, but more is needed to cover costs such as insurance, equipment, and time. Also the Forest Service is now requiring that AMI pay user fees for all charity events. This was not the case, but now is required. This program will need support to continue. 100% your donations will go directly to helping kids.
If you or your organization would like to contribute, please let us know.
